Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fame Bhavya Gandhi recently lost his father to COVID 19. The actor was seen playing the role of Tapu in the popular show. In an interview with Spotboye, his mother Yashoda Gandhi is seen opening up on the demise of her husband and revealed how the family had a difficult time trying to get him the right treatment. She said that her husband took utmost precaution even in the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. She revealed that despite taking a lot of precautions, her husband started to feel a little unwell a month back and then developed fever and complained of chest pain soon after.
Bhavya Gandhi’s mother then added that he was hospitalized once his situation worsened despite being treated at home for a few days. She recounted that they found a hospital bed after much difficulty with the help of Bhavya Gandhi’s manager. However, he was soon shifted to another hospital for an ICU bed at a hospital in Goregaon. Yashoda said that it was her son Bhavya Gandhi who was making all arrangements for his father. However, things turned more difficult when they couldn’t find injections required for treatment. The doctor had asked them to arrange Remdesvir injection and Yashoda revealed the family had to pay the cost of 8 injections for 6.
