Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah star Gurucharan Singh has been missing since April 22. A missing complaint was also lodged and an investigation was started immediately. The actor went missing on April 22, after failing to board a flight from Delhi to Mumbai. Now, the latest update suggests that he is back home and reveals the reason behind him going missing for so many days.
According to a report in India Today, the TMKOC actor “was on a religious journey.” The police officials revealed that he had left his life behind and was on a religious journey. In the last few days, the actor stopped at gurudwaras in many cities, including Amritsar and Ludhiana. However, he later realized that he should return home. Furthermore, Gurucharan used to practice meditation and showed interest in visiting the Himalayas for meditation.
Gurucharan Singh’s financial issues
Reportedly, the police have discovered that he had more than 10 bank accounts when he disappeared. According to a report from the Free Press Journal, he withdrew Rs 14,000 from an ATM to pay off the balance on one card with another. Gurucharan Singh’s father, Hargit Singh even revealed that he was unaware of his son’s financial problems as he never told him.
Gurucharan Singh essayed the role of Roshan Singh Sodhi in the hit sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. He left the show in 2013 only to return next year due to public demand. However, he once again exited in 2020 and was replaced by actor Balwinder Singh Suri. The reason behind his exit was said to be delay in payments.
