TMKOC: Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal REPLACED by Monaz Mevawalla as Mrs. Roshan Singh Sodhi

Jennifer Mistry has been in news since March this year after she accused makers of Taarak Mehta K Ooltah Chashmah of sexual harassment and misbehavior against producer Asit Modi and project head Sohail Ramani. She essayed the role of Mrs Roshan Singh Sodhi in popular sitcom. And now, Monaz Mevawalla will join the cast of TMKOC as Mrs Roshan.

Monaz Mevawalla to feature as Mrs Roshan in TMKOC

The creator and producer of ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, Asit Kumar Modi welcomed Monaz Mevawalla and even expressed his excitement about the same. He said, “We are delighted to have Monaz Mevawalla. We welcome her wholeheartedly to the TMKOC family. Her portrayal is anticipated to bring a new dimension to the already beloved series, captivating audiences with her performance.”

Sharing her excitement, Monaz in a statement said, “I love the role and am grateful to Mr Modi for this opportunity. I’ll put all my energy and heart into this character”.

Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal on filing FIR against makers of TMKOC

In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Jennifer shares shocking details about the incident and how the rest of the cast suffered. Speaking about her lodging an FIR, she stated, “I am just praying for the highest good of everyone involved. Whatever will happen will be for the good. The Universe compelled me to take this. After so many days of filing a statement, there was no action. Yesterday finally I was called to the police station and now the charges have been pressed.”

The show has been airing for 15 years and has been in the news lately for the wrong reasons. Apart from Jennifer, Shailesh Lodha also accused makers of non-payment of dues and filed a legal suit. Recently, netizens have also demanded boycott of show after makers failed to get the beloved character Dayaben back on the show.
