TMKOC: Sunayana Fozdar aka Anjali REACTS to rumours of Disha Vakani aka Daya returning to the show

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is the second-longest-running show on Indian Television. TMKOC has been successfully winning hearts for the past 13 years and has completed over 1300 episodes. While TMKOC has been fairing well, there’s one question that is in every viewer’s mind for the past 3 years, ‘When will Disha Vakani aka Daya comeback?’ Yes, almost all TMKOC fan has thought about it at least once.

Disha Vakani aka Dayaben took a maternity break in September 2017. While fans expected her to return to the show asap, there have been no signs of her return. However, there have been several rumours of Disha Vakani’s comeback and probable replacements also. In a recent interview with Koimoi. com, Sunayana Fozdar, who plays the role of Anjali Mehta opened up about Disha Vakani and the speculations of her return to TMKOC. Sunayana Fozdar revealed if Disha Vakani is ‘finally’ returning to TMKOC or not.

Ask her if she has any clue about Disha Vakani’s return, Sunanya says, “I wish I knew this answer, I really wish.” She shared that she has never met Disha, but would love to meet her. “Humko abhi tak aisi koi baat boli nai gayi hai, we don’t know anything at all, ” reiterated Sunayna. The actress feels that the best person to answer about Disha Vakani’s return is Asit (Kumarr Modi) Sir, the producer of TMKOC. She added that even they want to know about and often keep discussing it, but nobody knows about her return.

But, Sunayna feels that the show is about everyone and not just one character, and it is the best part of the show. “So if a character is still loved and missed but still people are watching the show and it’s doing well, that means it’s a team effort,” said Sunayna. She stated that a single person cannot take the credit of the entire team, as there is no lead in TMKOC. “Sabke apne favourites hai, jiski wajah se show abhi tak chal raha hai,” she concluded.

Meanwhile, recently Hum Paanch actress Rakhi Vijan had expressed her wish to play Dayaben in TMKOC. Sunayana Fozdar replaced Neha Mehta a few months ago on the show.
