TMKOC’s Mandar Chandwadkar aka Bhide dismisses death rumours, says ‘aise afwaye na failwaye’

Mandar Chandwadkar, who is known for playing Bhide in the popular TV show ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, has dismissed rumours of his death. The actor took to Instagram to share a video wherein he said that he received a news piece about him passing away. He then informed fans that he is doing well. He also requested people not to spread such rumours.

In the video shared by him on Instagram, Mandar greeted his fans and followers in Hindi and said that his shoot is going well. He then shared that someone sent him a news about him passing away and soon decided to clarify the rumours himself. He said, “Main confirm karna chahta tha ke main shooting kar raha hu, aur tandarust hu. Aisi Afwaye kripya na failwaye.” The actor added that everything is well and the entire team of TMKOC hopes to keep entertaining their audience for many more years to come.

He captioned the video as, “It’s a request to the ppl who are spreading rumours not to spread.”

On the other hand, it is reported that Shailesh Lodha, who plays the role of Taarak, is quitting the show. ETimes quoted a source saying, “Shailesh has not been shooting for the show for the last one month and has no plans to return to the show. He is not very happy with his contract and he feels that his dates are not properly used in the show. One of the reasons behind taking this decision is with Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, the talented actor is not able to explore other opportunities due to the exclusivity factor.”

The report further added, “He has turned down multiple offers in recent times and now he doesn’t want to waste other opportunities that keep coming his way. The production house is trying its best to convince Shailesh to stay back but looks like the seasoned actor and well-known poet has already made up his mind.”
