TRP Report Week 29: Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai fails to enter Top 5; Indian Idol 12 makes a comeback

The BARC TRP list for week 29 has been released and surprisingly, it is almost the same as what it was last week. The Broadcast Audience Research Council’s list will help you figure out which TV shows are doing well and are popular with the audience. This week’s TRP list includes the return of a popular reality show. We’re not talking about Super Dancer 4, but instead, Indian Idol 12, which has been on air since November 2020. 

Rohit Shetty’s Khatron Ke Khiladi 11 did well in its initial week, while Shaheer Sheikh and Erica Fernandes’ Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi 3 is suffering. Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi’s show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has also failed to make a space for itself in the list. Anupamaa, starring Sudhanshu Pandey and Rupali Ganguly, remains at the top, with Neil Bhatt and Ayesha Singh’s Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein in second place. Imlie, Indian Idol 12, and Yeh Hai Chahatein follow.

Anupamaa

For a long time, Rajan Shahi’s show Anupamaa, starring Rupali Ganguly, Sudhanshu Pandey, and Madalsa Sharma, has topped the TRP chart. The show, which is now centred on Rupali’s dancing academy and Sudhanshu’s cafe, has done it once again. Anupamaa has extended her winning streak to the top of the TRP chart for week 29. The show holds the number one slot with a rating of 3.8.

Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein

Then there’s Ayesha Singh and Neil Bhatt’s show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein. This Star Plus show had taken over Anupamaa’s first spot not long ago, but it has now dropped to the second spot on the chart. This week, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein received a rating of 3.1, the closeness of Virat and Sayi has impressed viewers! There’s always a tough competition between this show and Anupamaa.

Imlie

Imlie, a show starring Gashmeer Mahajani and Mayuri Deshmukh, has remained in third place on the TRP chart this week. The show, which airs on the same channel as Anupamaa, has held the third spot on the list for several weeks. The show has a 2.9 rating. Aditya’s kidnapping story has turned out to be entertaining and will add additional twists to the story.

Indian Idol 12 

For a change, the singing-based reality show Indian Idol 12 has returned to the top five. Since November 2020, the current season has been aired on television. In the 29th-week TRP report for 2021, the reality show received a rating of 2.7. The show is judged by Sonu Kakkar, Himesh Reshammiya, and Anu Malik. Indian Idol 12’s grand finale is expected to be telecast on August 15.

Yeh Hai Chahatein

For a few weeks, Abrar Qazi and Sargun Kaur Luthra’s Yeh Hai Chahatein has been among the top five shows. It is a sequel to Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. The story’s intriguing plot has captivated everyone’s attention. The show received a 2.6 rating.
