The tragic demise of late actor Tunisha Sharma has shocked the nation. Reportedly, she hung herself on the sets of her show, Alibaba Dastaan-E-Kabul. She was said to be dating her co-star Sheezan Khan who was accused of abetment to suicide. As the actor is no more between us, there were reports stating that the show will go off air.
Now, amidst controversies around the lead actor Sheezan Khan, the makers of the show decided to pull the chords. But now, the latest development suggested that Alibaba Dastaan-E-Kabul will continue to air and will not replace Tunisha’s role in the show. According to the report in TOI, the makers have decided that her role will not be replaced but will focus on new characters played by different actors.
“The show is definitely not going off-air. It will continue,” the report quoted a source as saying. The report also mentioned that they have already started looking for new actors, including a replacement for Sheezan who is currently in police custody.
On the other hand, rumour has it that actor Abhishek Nigam who was in Sab TV’s Hero – Gayab Mode On is been considered for the role of Ali Baba but the actor’s mother has since denied the news.
As the makers have decided to continue to show and the cast and crew are happy about it despite the tragic demise of Tunisha Sharma. “It is not easy to shoot post the tragedy, but life has to go on, and we are glad that the production house and channel have decided to continue with the show,” said a cast member.
For the unversed, Tunisha Sharma played the titular role of Princess Marriam whereas Sheezan Khan played Alibaba in the show.
