Uttarakhand Glacier Disaster: Hina Khan, Shaheer Sheikh, Shivangi Joshi and others offer prayers for victims

The Uttarakhand Glacier Disaster has sent shockwaves across the country. An enormous glacier burst happened in the state of Uttarakhand, affecting the lives of locals and villagers. The glacier burst took place in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli this Sunday, February 7, 2021. Ever since this sad news came in, the entire country has been praying for the people of Uttarakhand. They are expressing their sorrow and grief for the unfortunate incident, and are also praying for things to turn normal without causing casualties.

Many celebrities from Bollywood and the Indian Television industry took to their social media handles to pray for the victim and the state’s well-being. Among them are popular faces like Hina Khan, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actress Shivangi Joshi, Shaheer Sheikh, Naagin 5 star Sharad Malhotra, and others. Hina Khan shared a post about the appalling calamity and wrote, ‘Prayers’ followed by folded hand emoticon. Shaheer Sheikh shared a news update on the incident and expressed, ‘#PrayersforUttarakhand.’

Shivangi Joshi, who belongs to Uttarkhand’s Dehradun was deeply shocked. Expressing her concern, she wrote, ‘May God give strength to the families affected in Chamoli floods. Strength to the rescue teams. Hope the stranded are brought to safety. Praying for everyone’s safety.’

Sharad Malhotra, who was last seen in Ekta Kapoor’s show Naagin 5, shared terrifying video clips of the tragic incident and wrote, ‘#Uttarakhand, Scary as hell.” The Kapil Sharma Show fame Archana Puran Singh also shared clips of the affected areas. She wrote, ‘The distress. The death. The destruction. My dearest #Uttarakhand experiences the #furyofnature once again.’

The mishap took place at the Rishiganga power project and damaged the Rishiganga dam on the Alaknanda river. Houses of people living nearby have also been affected badly.
