Vikas Gupta reveals he dated Pratyusha Banerjee, late actress found out about his bisexuality after breakup

Vikas Gupta recently made headlines after revealed to have dated late actress Pratyusha Banerjee. He said that his sexual orientation was only revealed after the duo broke up. Pratyusha passed away in 2016 on April 1 after she committed suicide in her apartment. Vikas told a leading daily that only two women he dated knew that he is bisexual, while he didn’t want to name the other, one of them was Pratyusha Banerjee.

Vikas and the Balika Vadhu actress were together way before she dated Rahul Raj Singh. But, Pratyusha broke up with Vikas because he said that someone was bad-mouthing him to the late actress. Vikas told ETimes, “Pratyusha got to know about it after we broke up. We were together for a short span. The break-up reason would be that some people spoke bad about me to her. But I don’t want to get into the details as she is no more. I was very angry with her after the break-up. I avoided her when I saw her on the road once. She called me to ask that how could I do that. I liked Pratyusha. I wanted to do a big project with her. Alas.”

After Pratyusha passed away, her then-boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh was accused of abetment to suicide. Talking about Rahul, Vikas said, “The visual I remember of Rahul Raj Singh is he was eating chips outside the hospital (when Pratyusha had died by suicide). I entered to see that Makrand Malhotra was around and he was calling up people. Pratyusha had dated Makrand (before Rahul) and that was the sweetest relationship of her life.”

Earlier, in an interview with Times of India, Rahul had said that he is still struggling for a happy life after Pratyusha’s death. His wife has been helping him cope with the pain and struggle that he went through.
