Adah Sharma to star opposite Sunil Grover in murder-mystery Sunflower 2

Adah Sharma rose to fame with her stint in Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s The Kerela Story. The hard-hitting subject of the film garnered rave response and went on to shatter several records. Looks like, the actor is leaving no stone unturned to prove her versatility as she is all set to try her hands in comedy now. Adah Sharma will soon be seen alongside Sunil Grover in Sunflower season 2.

On Being a part of the series, Adah commented, “Stepping into this well-loved universe is both a privilege and a challenge, and I can’t wait for everyone to see the uniqueness of my character. She is very creepy and unique. You will love her one minute and be very very afraid of her the next. She’s unpredictable”

Ask what intrigued her about the script and she says, “I have already done drama with The Kerala Story and action with the Commando franchise, so I thought I should try my hand at comedy. I speak in Hindi, Tamil, Marathi and English in the show, and I am hoping the audience will have a lot of fun.”

Adah Sharma also praised Sunil Grover calling him, ‘Exceptional at comedy’. She reveals she has “some hilarious scenes with Ashish Vidhyarthi sir, Ranveer Shorey, Girish Kulkarni and a teddy bear and a sledgehammer.”

About Sunflower

Sunflower was released in 2021. The black comedy series was directed by Vikas Bahl. Apart from Sunil Grover, it also stars Ranvir Shorey, Girish Kulkarni, Mukul Chadda, Shonali Nagrani, Sonal Jha and Ashish Vidyarthi.

The show, which consisted of eight episodes, revolves around a murder mystery based in a middle-class housing society in Mumbai called Sunflower.
