Amazon MX Player’s StreamNext unveils 100 new shows

Amid stellar appearances by Bobby Deol (Aashram 3), Suniel Shetty & Jackie Shroff (Hunter 2), and more, Amazon MX Player showcased its remarkable slate of over 100 new shows for 2025. At the Amazon MX Player’s StreamNext event, Girish Prabhu, Head of Amazon Ads India, highlighted the power of Amazon MX Player’s ad tech. He said,“It’s about enabling all brands, not just the ones selling on Amazon, to reach and deliver relevant advertising to over 250 million unique users in India. It’s about directly measuring outcomes from the very top of the funnel to the very bottom. Full funnel advertising is here!”

Karan Bedi, Head of Amazon MX Player, emphasised the platform’s massive content selection. He stated, “There is no other streaming service in India that offers such a massive selection of content for free.” He also noted that the app is one of India’s most downloaded apps. The number goes over 1.4 billion downloads on the Play Store, and its reach rivals leading general entertainment channels.

Amogh Dusad, Head of Content, unveiled a lineup of over 100 new shows for 2025, including 40 new Hindi originals and popular returning seasons like Aashram and Hunter. New series like Bhay and The Titan Story, along with Rise and Fall, were also announced. Dusad shared, “We are committed to keeping India entertained—free of charge!”

The event also introduced new interactive ad formats, including in-stream shoppable ads. Aruna Daryanani, Director at Amazon MX Player, noted, “Our audiences are highly engaged viewers and we have a strong understanding of their shopping patterns.” PepsiCo’s Om Jha shared how the service has played a key role in their brand’s success.
