Netflix brings another new crime series Kohrra to the platform. The series stars Barun Sobti in the lead role as a cop. The story revolves around the murder of an NRI (Non-Resident Indian) in Punjab. Netflix dropped the trailer on Thursday unveiling a whole world of crime and investigation.
Barun Sobti starrer Kohrra looks exciting
Barun Sobti, widely known for his role in Asur 2 is now all set to star in Kohrra. The web series is an upcoming investigative drama. The trailer begins with an NRI who is found dead in a village in Punjab. The NRI was visiting his hometown to tie the knot in an arranged marriage. While the groom is dead, his foreign friend is missing. Barun Sobti as a cop along with his police team actively involve themselves in the investigation. During the murder investigation, the film delves into messy relationships.
Kohrra which means ‘fog’, indicates that the investigation in the web series is about to be all hazy. As the investigation progresses, a hidden world of lies, secrets, and tumultuous struggles within troubled families gradually comes to light. The police must give it all to uncover the murderer.
Sharing the trailer on Instagram, Netflix India wrote, “Kya sach hai aur kya jhooth? (what’s the truth and what’s the lie?) Find out who’s hiding behind a Kohrra of lies. #Kohrra, premieres 15th July only on Netflix!.”

Randeep Jha directs Kohrra, a show produced by Clean Slate Filmz Productions. Pataal Lok fame Sudip Sharma, Gunjit Chopra, and Diggi Sisodia co-create the show. The star cast also includes Suvinder Vicky, Varun Badola, Harleen Sethi, Rachel Shelly, and Manish Chaudhary. The series will start streaming on the OTT giant Netflix on July 15.
