It is no secret that after ruling everyone’s heart with her web series Fittrat and film Visfot, Krystle Dsouza is all set to impress the audience once again with her new web series titled ‘First Copy’. Recently, the actress opened up about transitioning from television to web series and films when she revealed that she made this big decision to challenge herself.
About Krystal Dsouza
Krystle mentioned that the transition was important for her to grow as an actor and said, “I want to explore a variety of characters, and thankfully, with so many platforms now available, we actors have greater opportunities to showcase our versatility. In my last film, Visfot, I played a poor Catholic girl from Dongri, whereas in First Copy, I’m playing a film star. That contrast excites me as a performer.”
Sharing details about her First Copy character, Krystle added, “If you know me, you’d know I speak super fast and always have a lot to say. But my character, Mona, is calm, composed, and a woman of few words. While I wouldn’t call it challenging, it was definitely different from my real personality. Before every scene, our director would just come up to me and say, “Do everything in 0.5x speed, and it will work!”
“I have never played an actress before, and portraying the journey of one was something that instantly drew me to Mona. First Copy highlights the ups and downs, as well as the unseen struggles that actors go through. The overall storyline resonated with me from the very first narration it just hit the right spot,” she added.
Besides First Copy, Krystle also has other commitments. However, she likes the challenge of working on different projects together. The actress mentioned that she loves and enjoys it. “When you love what you do, it never feels like a challenge. I was fortunate to work with an incredible production house (Salt Media), which managed my schedule seamlessly. I remember them flying me back and forth from Hyderabad to Mumbai to accommodate my other commitments, making it all possible without any hassle. For me, juggling between projects is never an issue I truly enjoy being on set,” she concluded.
