Sara Ali Khan has proved her acting capabilities in the recently released film Ae Watan Mere Watan. The historical biographical film – set during India’s freedom in 1942, sees Sara essaying the role of Usha Mehta. The actress has been receiving much love for her performance. The film has now achieved a new feat – it’s trending for two consecutive weeks.
According to a recent Ormax Media report, the Sara Ali Khan starrer is gripping the internet with its impactful story and impressive performances. The report – which tracks viewership of streaming films and shows, states that Ae Watan Mera Watan got 4.2 million views in Week 1 and Week 2 of its release. While week 1 saw the film stand at number 2, it occupied the number 3 spot in week 2.
With positive word-of-mouth reviews and recommendations and a gripping storyline supported by impactful performances, Ae Watan Mere Watan is sure to garner more love and appreciation over the coming weeks too.

About Ae Watan Mere Watan
Directed by Kannan Iyer, the historical biographical drama stars Sara Ali Khan as the unsung freedom fighter Usha Mehta. Usha is credited for starting the Congress Radio – an underground radio station, during the Quit India movement in 1942. The film also stars Sparsh Shrivastav, Anand Tiwari, Sachin Khedekar, Abhay Verma, Alexx O’Nell and Benedict Garrett, with Emraan Hashmi making a cameo appearance as Ram Manohar Lohia. It premiered on March 21, 2024, on Amazon Prime Video.
