Shahid Kapoor CONFIRMS Farzi 2, teases fans about release date

Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi starrer Farzi has received positive response from the audience. Now, at a recent award function Shahid confirms about the Farzi season 2 and also spoke about the release date.

Raj and DK’s directorial venture Farzi starring Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi has garnered immense love and appreciation from fans and critics too. As Farzi has become quite popular among viewers, fans are wondering if there will be a second season too. Well, on a similar note, Shahid Kapoor has now confirmed about Farzi season 2 while also teasing the fans about its release date.

Shahid Kapoor confirms Farzi 2 and the release date:

During an award function, when asked if Farzi Season 2 was on the cards, Shahid replied, “Farzi season 2 I am sure hoga lekin in cheezon mein waqt lagta hai – der do saal lagte hain kyunki show khatam hone ke baad ek saal lagta hai uso post-production main. Woh usko 35-40 languages mein dub karte hai aur 200 countries mein release karte hai.Jab shoot hoga toh uske ek saal baad release hoga, toh I think der do saal toh hai Farzi Season 2 mein definitely.”

(I am sure there will be a Farzi season 2, but these things take time. It takes one-and-a-half to two years for post-production alone with the series being dubbed in 35-40 languages and getting released in over 200 countries. When the shoot happens, it will take a further two years for release. So, I think there are still around two years left for the release of Farzi 2).”

Farzi story:

The new series is about an artist named Sunny who makes a brilliant replica of other artists’ work. However, he decides to use his talent for the wrong business as he starts making fake notes. Later, an officer goes on a mission to take down the person for making counterfeit notes in the country. Bollywood Bubble gave 4 stars to Farzi.
