While the series primarily focuses on Wednesday as the top teen investigator of Nevermore, fans can expect to see familiar faces along with intriguing new characters. A recent featurette from Geeked Week 2024 highlighted cast members including Luis Guzmán (Gomez Addams), Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia Addams), Joy Sunday (Bianca Barclay), and Emma Myers (Enid Sinclair). Also present was the director and executive producer Tim Burton.

An announcement video confirmed that Wednesday was renewed in January 2023, promising more delightful torture for fans. Ortega shared with Tudum in February 2023 that Wednesday is steadfast in her beliefs. She does not seek approval from others, a quality she truly admires.

The portrayal of Wednesday as the sole daughter of the Addams family has been widely appreciated. It contributed to the show receiving twelve Primetime Emmy Award nominations in July 2023. Ortega will not only star in but also produce Season 2. Also she will conitnue her role as the outcast detective and occasional mystery writer.
