‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’: Sachin Tyagi and few others test positive for Covid-19; shooting stalled?

Owing to the restrictions eased down during the unlock phase, several serials and film resumed shooting. Despite following all the standard procedure of operations set by the state government, reports of cast and crew testing positive for the novel Coronavirus doesn’t cease.

According to a report in SpotboyE, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ fame actor Sachin Tyagi has tested positive for Covid-19. And not only him few other cast and crew members of the show have also contracted the deadly virus forcing the makers to stall the shoot.

A source was quoted saying in the entertainment portal as, “Sachin Tyagi was running a fever and hence he got himself tested. His results came day before, after which a few other crew members who also felt symptoms, got themselves tested. Some of them came negative and some positive. As of now, more members of the show including actors have got their tests done and now they are waiting for the results.”

Sachin plays Mohin Khan’s father Manish Goenka on the show. Refraining from sharing any details, Sachin told the portal, “I can’t say anything on this and request you to get in touch with the productions.”

The cast and crew of the show were shooting in the Filmcity until 10 am this morning but when the reports of the crew members came positive, the shooting were halted. The makers of the show are yet to release any statement regarding the halt of the shoot or the cast and crew’s health update.
