YRKKH: Mohsin Khan’s rumoured exit from the show and Karan Mehra’s exit has THIS in common?

Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai have a large fan base. They were popular as Kaira and are now popular as KaiRat. Mohsin Khan, who has played Kartik in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai for several years, is said to be leaving the show shortly. According to The Times of India, Mohsin is now interested in pursuing opportunities outside of television, and he is also uninterested in the concept of the show experiencing another leap in its storyline.

Whenever there was a Kartik-Naira separation track, fans would start mocking the creators and demanding a Kartik-Naira reunion. The death of Naira in the episode was also heavily criticised by viewers. The public just recently accepted the reality that Shivangi Joshi is now Sirat and that the show would now centre on Kartik-Sirat. This will undoubtedly come as a surprise to fans.

According to a source close to The Times of India, there will be a generation gap in the programme, and Mohsin does not want to portray an elderly character. Previously, Karan Mehra had quit the show for the same reason. There has been no official statement from the YRKKH crew or Mohsin Khan on his choice. However, if this is true, it will be intriguing to watch if Kartik dies like Naira or if a different actor takes over Kartik’s position.

A source close to the actor told that Mohsin considers Rajan his mentor and his exit will be very amicable. “It’s all amicable between him and the production house. Mohsin has always considered producer Rajan Shahi his mentor and guide and he too has spoken highly about Mohsin in his interviews. He is likely to be a part of the show for some more time after which his exit will be planned.”

According to the source, Mohsin is expected to remain on the programme for some time, and his exit will be prepared by the producers. We recently witnessed Kartik stand up for Sirat and declare his love for her as Narendra Nath Chauhan pushed her off a cliff. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai premiered in 2009 and has completed 12 years.
