Actress Yuvika Chaudhary recently received a severe backlash on social media for using a casteist slur in one of her videos. In the video clip, she was allegedly heard saying, “Main bhangi jaisi dikh rahi hoon.” Post this, #ArrestYuvikaChaudhary trended on Twitter. After realizing her mistake, she even apologized for the same. But, it seems the problems for Yuvika don’t end even after her apology.

As per a report by PTI, Yuvika has been booked by the Haryana Police on a complaint by a Dalit rights activist, Rajat Kalsan. An FIR was registered against the actress on Friday evening under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, according to an official.

In his complaint, the activist alleged Yuvika made some “derogatory and objectionable remarks about the Scheduled Caste community in the video”, and he handed over a copy to the police. The complaint was made to Hansi Superintendent of Police Nikita Ahlawat on May 26. After an investigation by the cyber cell, the FIR was lodged against the actress at Hansi city police station.

After she was slammed on social media, Yuvika posted an apology post on social media that read: “Hi guys I didn’t know the meaning about that word wt I used in my last vlog I didn’t mean to hurt anyone and I can never do that to hurt someone I apologise to each n everyone I hope you understand love you all (sic).”
