Akshay Kumar The Great Indian Laughter Challenge

We have been tired of recalling the same thing again and again, but given we do not believe in handing out half information, here’s a brief for you. A whole controversy of sorts broiled up, when Akshay Kumar, on the sets of ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’, made an inappropriate jest towards stand-up comic artist Mallika Dua, which did not go down well with her and her father, veteran journalist Vinod Dua, who took to social media to express their displeasure. Mallika even wrote an open letter addressing the same. The whole word of social media was divided over whether or not Akshay’s remarks were sexist, given Dua’s humour too is quite below the belt, at times. Also, some troll fans harassed Dua and her father so much that latter had to delete his tweets. (Also Read: Twinkle Khanna hits back at Mallika Dua and her father in this explosive post)

As if this was not enough, after some time, Akshay’s wife, and celebrated columnist-author Twinkle Khanna too came out and urged people to not tag her in the controversy, and said that comedy should be taken in a certain context. Here is the tweet.

After all this, one would expect that the relations between the involved parties would totally become sour, to the extent that those will be irreparable. However, now we have something which has confused us even further. Twinkle Khanna’s tweets making jokes about the whole saga, and Mallika Dua’s reaction on the same. Take a look.

Duh! Guys, can you just resolve it amongst yourselves, if it is so trivial? Why divide the whole social media and then be all hunky dory?

What’s the scene? Well, only these three people may know. Let’s wait for more updates on this, if there are any.
