Deepika Padukone wins Best Actress award at IIFA, yet she is upset! Here’s why…

Deepika Padukone had a mesmerising run at the box office last year. Her three films made it to the theatres and all of them received a grand opening. In fact, apart from ‘Tamasha’, PIKU’ with Amitabh Bachchan and ‘Bajirao Mastani’ with Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra, were amongst the highest grossers of that year and each and everyone applauded Dippy for her performance. But then of course, there’s no denying that Deepika‘s Mastani act in ‘Bajirao Mastani’ was a bit more special. So apparently, Deepika was a little disheartened to not receive an award for her ‘Bajirao Mastani’ at IIFA.

While Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra received Best Actor and Best Actress in supporting role respectively, Deepika won the Best Actress award for her performance in ‘PIKU’ at IIFA awards held recently. So while conversing with the press there, she expressed that she would have been happier if she had received it for ‘Bajirao Mastani.’
