EXCLUSIVE: Ranveer, Alia, Vicky and Janhvi-who’ll romance whom in ‘Takht’? Deets inside

Karan Johar‘s ‘Takht’ has been creating a buzz right from its announcement. It is said to be the most ambitious project of Karan and possibly the most expensive movie of Dharma Productions. ‘Takht’ has a stellar ensemble cast of Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Anil Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, and Bhumi Pednekar.

Now everyone knows that in the film Ranveer Singh plays Dara Shikou and Vicky essays the role of the prime nemesis Aurangzeb, whereas Kareena plays their sister while Anil is playing their father Shah Jahan. But little does anyone know about the other three ladies – Alia, Janhvi and Bhumi.

Reports suggest that ‘Takht’ revolves around the story of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz’s kids. The film will focus on their three children, played by Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Vicky Kaushal.

There were many speculations as to who will be paired opposite whom in the epic drama. It was said that Alia Bhatt will be playing Ranveer Singh’s wife and Janhvi will be seen as Vicky’s wife. Now, a source close to the development has revealed to us about the pairings. The source shared, “Alia and Bhumi are paired opposite Vicky. Alia has the most prominent role among the ladies and she plays Vicky’s wife – the most beautiful princess Dilras Ranu Begum who died really young but caused a huge change in Aurangzeb’s life.”

“Janhvi will be paired opposite Ranveer whereas Bhumi plays Vicky’s other wife and barely has 10 minutes of screen time. Her’s is the smallest character in terms of screen presence, followed by Janhvi,” added the source.
