Anupam Kher is looking outstanding as the ex-prime minister in the trailer of the movie. He has perfectly captured Singh’s mannerisms and also bears a striking resemblance to him.
The movie is based on 2014 memoir of the same name, written by Manmohan Singh’s media advisor Sanjay Baru.
‘The Accidental Prime Minister’ also stars Akshaye Khanna, who is playing Baru and Divya Seth Shah, who is essaying the role of Manmohan Singh’s wife Gursharan Kaur in the movie. It also features Arjun Mathur and Aahana Kumra as Congress president Rahul Gandhi and his sister Priyanka Gandhi, respectively. Suzanne Bernert will portray the role of former Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
The film has been directed by debutant Vijay Gutte and written by Hansal Mehta it will be releasing on January 11, 2019.
