It has been 16 long years since the 90s’ beauty, Mamta Kulkarni stepped in front of the camera. The former actress was recently in news due to her alleged involvement in the Thane drug case along with Vicky Goswami.
Even though Mamta opted to keep mum on the subject, she finally decided to speak her heart out about the case, her alleged relation with Vicky Goswami and her sudden exit from the world of Bollywood. The actress, in an interview with ABP News, made quite a few revelations.
Talking about how she never wanted to be a part of the industry and it was her mother’s wish for her to be an actress, Mamta said, “I belonged to a very middle class Brahmin family. And while my mother had a desire for me to become an actress, she had to suppress it, because in that era, in good family, girls were not allowed in cinema. But I became of victim of my mother’s desire. Believe me I had no interest in Bollywood.”
Also speaking about her nude photo shoot for a magazine that garnered much controversy, she claims, “It was a huge mistake for me. I do not believe it now, I did not believe it then. I don’t know why I did it, but that time I was a kid.”
